Pastor Nickson's family comes to visit

Pastor Nickson serves with Gospel Recordings of Papua New Guinea.  He has been heavily involved in recording Wantoat Scripture portions into oral format (mostly cassettes up to this point).  Last weekend (May 8 to 11) Pastor Nickson and his wife, Grace, and their two girls, Joann and Hadassah came to stay with us in our home.  It was a rich time of fellowship and planning for future ministry in Wantoat.

We gave dolls to Joann and Hadassah. Anna loved showing how to dress the dolls in play clothes.

One of the most exciting parts of the visit was when Pastor Nickson showed us the new Sabre MP3 player. This is a new technology that we will use for distributing Wantoat Scriptures. One advantage it has over older cassette technology is that it can hold the entire New Testament plus more!

One of the most fun parts of the weekend was sharing skills. Grace wanted to learn as many recipes from Becca as she could. Here Becca is teaching how to make pizza from scratch.

Grace was also excited to learn how to make peanut butter cookies...

... and bread rolls.

I shared the best food I knew...

... Georgia sweet tea!

The kids shared a whole lot of fun too!

It was neat that Grace was able to reciprocate the sharing of skills by teaching Becca how to plant greens.

Easter photo shoot

These are some candid pictures from our “photo shoot” on Easter Sunday.

The pictures at the end show the final results of the effort.

“What's happening over there?”

"I'm a little bored."

"Hey!  What's this... a piece of grass?"

What a beautiful bunch of kids!

The whole gang

Easter egg hunt

These are some pictures from the Easter egg hunt we had at Easter.  Jonathan and Carrie’s family came over, and we all had a great time!

The race is on!

It is fun to watch Joshua in this series of pictures.  It is almost like a movie of him.

It was hard to keep Joshua looking for eggs.  He kept wanting to eat the candy inside!

This is a little patch of banana trees in the backyard.  The kids call it a "jungle".  I don't think they found any eggs in there.
